With gratitude and excitement we introduce our kayitz 2017 specialty track directors (Rashei Maslul). Each of these leaders brings to camp incredible skills, professional experience, and passion for working with Jewish youth. As we sang the familiar words of shalom aleichem together, arm-in-arm, and banged passionately on the tables during birkat hamazon, I was reminded of how deeply Ramah connects young Jews of different cultures to one another and broadens the definition of what it means to be Jewish and to be part of a global community.
Listen to a recording of “Shabbat Shalom,” an original song by session 1 performing arts campers! Guitar chords provided!

Oh Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. And with thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary for you.
This is the prayer I sang, together with the Ocean Exploration staff during staff training week…
We are thrilled to introduce our 2016-2017 Ramah Service Corps Fellows, David Herrera and Jacob Kaplan-Lipkin! The Ramah Service Corps (RSC) is a national Ramah initiative that extends the magic of Camp Ramah’s summer programming throughout the academic year. Born and raised in Northern California, David and Jacob could not be better suited to serve as local fellows and it is with great pride that we highlight them below!
