The Taste of Ramah is a one week program for campers in incoming 3rd-4th grade at Camp Ramah in Northern California. Campers will have an opportunity to try out all of our specialty tracks (performing arts, ocean exploration, and adventure sports) by doing an intensive day in each specialty track. One day a camper may surf, kayak, and do marine biology; Another day they may participate in the making and performing a play, and yet another day campers may mountain bike and rock climb.
Similar to our two week session, campers will also have an opportunity to select from a variety of other elective activities in the afternoon when they come to camp. The electives include activities like arts and crafts, sports, acapella singing, Israeli dance, swimming, and much more. Throughout the week campers experience a unique culture of friendship-making, Hebrew speaking, and Jewish living.
On Friday night we transition into a special Shabbat vibe as a community with prayers, songs, and celebration. Shabbat is often campers’ favorite time at camp – with memorable activities, time with friends, lively prayers, sports, and interesting learning opportunities.
