My name is Jenna Turow, and I am a recent transplant to LA from Maryland. I grew up going to Habonim Dror Camp Moshava, which is a Zionist summer camp and youth movement. I also grew up doing USY, going to Tichon (Hebrew high school), and attending public school. Since high school, I have worked at Habonim Dror and Camp JCC of Greater Washington as camp counselor for a total of 7 summers. I graduated college with a BA in English and a BA in secondary education, and worked as a public high school English teacher before moving to LA to pursue the rabbinate. I am now finishing my first year of rabbinical school at Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at American Jewish University and loving it.
In my free time, I enjoy curling up with a great book or going hiking. I love working at camp because it combines education and fun; experiential education is my favorite way to learn and teach. I am looking forward to another summer at camp!
